Ihsan Waves is a men-only swim school in London, founded to build real confidence, strength and water competence through structured, high-quality instruction.The Problem We Solve
Many adult men never learned to swim properly, or learned years ago and lost confidence. Swimming feels isolating when you're the only beginner in the pool. We've built a different model.Who We Are
I'm Abdullah Hussein, Head Coach and Founder. I'm a STA Level 2 Swim Coach and STA Level 2 Life Saving Award holder, with First Aid certification through RLSS. I'm fully insured to deliver all lessons. Every Sunday afternoon session is led by me, with a focus on real progression and genuine care for each swimmer's development.We're built on three core principles:Patience: Every swimmer starts somewhere different, no judgment, no pressure, no comparison.
Clarity: You know exactly what you're working toward each week. Progress is mapped, measurable, and visible.
Progress: Real skill development. You'll move from anxious to confident, from thrashing to technique.Why Men-Only?We've found that men learn better in a cohort. Accountability, friendly competition, shared growth. You're not the only one figuring this out. Classes run Sunday afternoons at Coxson Place, Druid Street, London SE1 2EZ. Each session is 60 minutes long. long enough for real progress, tight enough to stay focused.
